Aside from girls, one of my favorite things to look at is robots. Strange combination? Not really. Unless of course you put the two together, but that is neither here nor there. The graphic design blog Naldz Graphics recently did a post that showcased 40+ Beautiful Robot Characters Illustrations. I suggest checking it out. There’s some very cool ones in there.

Having been the victim of a database crash on a major blog, I am all to familiar with the importance of database backup. I think however that some designers put off this task because it is too much on the developer side of things. As a designer, I am here to tell you it is not as scary as you think. This recent post by Noupe shares several ways to easily backup your databases.

I have been doing a lot of research into landing page design and user experience here lately. One great resource on this topic is a newer blog called UX Booth. This site is all about design and the user experience and interaction with it. There are a lot of really great people behind the project/blog which leads to be believe this is going to become a very valuable resource as time goes on.
A while back I did a post of stylish retro Twitter backgrounds. Today I thought I would show off some Twitterers < --new word? who had their own creative and custom theme.

I’m sure many of your are familiar with the design blog, Deziner Folio, but in case you’re not I thought I would post this link. Recent Deziner Folio did a post that showcased websites that had really good looking mascots or sight characters. The use of mascots and site characters seems to be a fairly popular trend these days.

I was recently introduced to the comedic genius of Brad Colbow. While Brad is a web designer, illustrator and cartoonist; I mostly keep tabs on him because of comic strip, The Brads.
