I know I don’t normally do app/product reviews here on GraphicRiver, after all Envato does have MacAppStorm and WebAppStorm for that. However, if it is ok with you, I was thinking I might feature some design and freelance related apps from time to time. As I am a little bit obsessed with apps, I will try to resist the urge to write about every cool new app I find.

I have been using TweetDeck for a while now, but just upgraded to the most recent version. If you haven’t done this, I highly suggest you do. It has some really cool new features. For example, you can now update your Facebook account and follow your Facebook friends inside of TweetDeck. And this is just the beginning!

I don’t know about you, but I would never be able to manage my team and everything I have going on without Basecamp. I have tried a number of team collaboration apps, but always come back to Basecamp. But this post isn’t a praise of Basecamp. This post is to showcase the iPhone apps that work seamlessly with Basecamp. There aren’t too many out there, but the ones that are out there are pretty sweet.

In these financially difficult times it is great to save money anywhere you can. Being that many design software products are extremely expensive, finding alternatives can be a great way to save money. With an ever growing demand for powerful open source programs, it is no surprise to see so many well designed apps, scripts, and programs floating around the web these days.
