Under the Radar: Star Backgrounds

The whole planet and outer space thing seems to be a pretty popular design trend these days. This style can be seen in a lot of poplar web sites designs from design portfolios to personal blogs. It is this reason that I decided to showcase these Star Backgrounds on this weeks edition of Under the Radar.

Under the Radar: Web 2.0 Buttons

I wouldn’t exactly call this set of buttons web 2.0, but thats just me. I guess they could be considered web 2.0 because of the bright colors and what not, but to me they just look like a nice set of buttons that feature a nice gradient, simple shadow, and good use of icons. The icons work nicely in both the button version of these buttons, as well as just icons placed beside text.

Under the Radar: Twitter Bird

With as popular as Twitter is these days it is amazing to me that there are still a lack of quality Twitter icons out there. I see a good number of Twitter icons out there, but most of them suck. The ones that don’t suck seem to get used over and over again to the point that everyone is using the same few Twitter Icons. It is only very recently that I have noticed some well designed Twitter graphics and icons showing up on the web. We have even had a few start popping up here on Graphic River.

Under the Radar: Standard Icon Set 81 Icons

I am a huge sucker for icons. I collect them like baseball cards. Sometimes when I see a cool icon set i will buy it or download it even if I have no particular need for it. Some of the icons sets I download I never even use, but I just have to have them! For this addition of Under the Radar, I wanted to showcase an icon set that I thought was pretty sweet, but hasn’t seen many sales.
