Design Template Competition!

One of the happy surprises on GraphicRiver has been the boom and growth of our new Design Templates category. Files of templated business cards have consistently been in our top sellers from week to week, and we want to showcase the kind of talent and amazing work our template designers can produce. So here’s the deal: we’re giving away four top prizes of $250 USD for the most professional and innovative files submitted to the Design Templates sub-categories in Graphics or Vectors. Interested? The Details

To be eligible, simply upload a file (in Vectors or Graphics) for approval to the Design Template categories before the competition deadline. Approved files in the Design Templates categories are eligible for the competition.

• Items must be uploaded before the 11:59PM May 7th (EST). Note that the item doesn’t need to have been approved by that deadline, it just needs to be submitted.
• Files must qualify for the Design Template sub-categories in either Vector or Graphics uploads. Files that do not meet Design Template upload guidelines will be re-assigned to a correct category and will not be considered.
• Two winners from each category (Vectors and Graphics) will be selected. Winning files will be selected by judges from the GraphicRiver team.
• Files will be judged on the basis of three qualities: professional technique, usability, and creative design. Watch this blog in coming weeks as we discuss guidelines and tips to improve your files in these areas!

The Prizes

Up for grabs are 4 prizes of $250 (USD) to be paid via PayPal only. Two winners will be selected from Vectors, two from Graphics.

Announcement of Winners

The winners will be announced here on the blog, during the week of May 18th (approximately one week after the close of competition).  Winners will also be contacted via email to arrange for collection of the prizes.

Rules

The rules are as follows:

• Envato staff and reviewers are not eligible to compete
• Only items uploaded before 11:59PM May 7th (EST) and subsequently approved for sale as a Design Template file are eligible to count.
• Judging will take place at the end of competition, by GraphicRiver reviewers and staff. Judges will select winning files based on three categories: professional technique,  usability, and creative design.
• Authors can enter as many times as they like and across all eligable categories. Individual authors are eligible to win prizes in multiple categories.
• In the event of a tie by the judging team, final winners will be selected by the Site Manager and Marketplace Director.
• All decisions are final.
• Files that are taken down for any reason are not eligible to be counted.
• Files must stay up on GraphicRiver for at least 6 months after launch.
• Winner will be paid in cash via PayPal ONLY. Any bank or transfer fees will come out of the prize money. If an author does not have PayPal access, they can either receive an Amazon gift voucher or as a Marketplace credit (to be spent on the Envato Marketplaces)
