Cool jQuery Script for Adding Captions

Having a background in a magazine layout, I think that all images should have a caption associated with them. I am guily of not doing this on my own blog, but for the simple reason that I haven’t found a stylish way to do so. Sure, you could always add a simple line of text under the picture, but that’s just not any fun.

What is fun, is the Captify script by Master Fidgiter.

Captify is a plugin for jQuery written by Brian Reavis to display simple, pretty image captions that appear on rollover. It has been tested on Firefox, Chrome, Safari, and the wretched Internet Explorer. Captify was inspired by ImageCaptions, another jQuery plugin for displaying captions like these.

I am especially found of this script because it is both stylish and functional. It makes super easy to add good looking captions to your photos. In my opinion, it is little things like this that can really spice up your blog or website.

This is a great find! I too fall into that category of print to web designer so this is a simple and effective way to add captions to your images without being obtrusive. Now the only questions is how to implement it into my WP blog! I’ll have to do some research.
    Thanks again!
