Concept Share Review

Concept Share is a proofing app similar to Proof HQ. I have been using it since was released from beta and have become pretty fond of it. If you are unfamiliar with Concpet Share, let me see if I can sum it up in a few words. Concept allows you to share design proof/mockups with your company or with you client. It allows you to draw on the mockup, make comments to specific areas of the design, chat within the application about the mockup, and more.

Overall, I think that Concept Share is amazing. I have loved using it from day one. For most designer, the interface will be pretty easy to figure out and use. The app makes it really easy to communicate about specific changes to a design within a team. The ability to coment on exact areas by drawing on them, pin point exact areas, and highlighting things; makes it easier to ensure that changes are what you expected them to be.

How many times have you had a email conversation about changes to a design and had no idea what the other person was talking about? With Concept Share you no longer have this problem. If the comments and notes left on a design in Concept Share aren’t enough, you can setup a chat in the app that lets you and your entire team chat about and markup the design. This makes it a lot easier to make sure that everyone is on the same page.

While the interface is pretty user friendly, I don’t know if it is easy enough for clients to figure out. I have had some clients who were very internet savvy and had no problems figuring out how to use the app. But on the flip side, I have had other clients who don’t know what to do after they figure out how to log in!

My suggestion is to keep this tool as something you use within your own design team.
